Weekend Heroes: We don’t try to be different. We just create our music and u can hear the outcome!

Weekend Heroes, a collaboration between electronic music veterans Felix Nagorsky (Timelock) and Eli Baltsan (DJ Zombi), have been touring the world since 2010 with their dynamic Live Act, performing to crowds of up to 10,000 people at renowned venues such as Ministry of Sound and Pacha. They have released numerous EPs and remixes, and collaborated with artists like Paul Van Dyk and Jerome Isma Ae, establishing themselves as top-selling remixers with a strong industry network.

What was your main inspiration behind the tracks you produced in collaboration with Argy for Afterlife?

The tracks are came natural, we wanted to make one groovy and one more epic tune and that’s what came out of it 🙂 For \”Talk to me\” we manipulated our vocals in the rhythmic section. And for \”No One\’s Coming\” we built a track around very beautiful Vocal section that we recorder with a singer.

How would you describe your unique musical style and how has it evolved over the years?

It’s a blend of more underground and more uplifting melodic techno. We try to cover a wider spectrum of this genre.

What was the most memorable experience you had working with Argy and the Afterlife team?

Argy is a pro in every way. He loved our music from the pure musical aspect, and we found our connection like this. Afterlife is a great label, and the release went smoothly.

What do you feel sets your music apart from others in the electronic music landscape?

We don’t try to be different. We just create our music and u can hear the outcome 🙂

What is your creative process like when collaborating with other artists like Argy?

If the collaboration is at a distance, we are starting the idea and then passing it to the artist we work with and back and forth.

Do you have any artists or musical influences that have inspired you throughout your career?

We listen to many genres and this gives us inspiration. We love artist like: Gorillaz, Daft Punk, Prodigy, Justice and more…

How do you rate the importance of the electronic music scene in Israel compared to other parts of the world?

Israel has always had electronic music in its veins. People here love the groove and the epic melodies. Many great electronic music artists and ghost producers come from Israel, so it’s for sure making a stamp on the worldwide music scene. 

What was your reaction when you found out your tracks would be released on Afterlife?

It was a great feeling of accomplishment. It’s one of the biggest labels in the world right now. We went through a long process to achieve this, but the process never ends, and we are moving forward!

What do you hope your audience will gain from listening to your musical productions?

We create our own music and share it with a crowd. We just hope that people will get positive feedback and a great vibe from our productions.

What are your upcoming projects or goals in the world of electronic music?

We have some great collaborations and big remixes coming this year. It’s too early to reveal them, but we suggest following our socials for music updates.
