ー Hello, Momis! We are happy to see you on the pages of Tune in Mag! How are you? What this spring brings to you – in personal and professional life?
ー Hi, I’m great, thanks. I am currently working on new projects, new music, future shows and in my personal life being more with my family, working on myself creating better habits to stay healthy, strong and focused.
ー You\’ve been involved in music from a very young age. Can you share a pivotal moment from your childhood in Monterrey that made you realize music was your calling?
ー Well, I have loved music since I was a little girl. I started with dance classes and I always paid attention to the music from the choreographies, then I attended piano lessons for about 6 years, then I was taking skating classes and every time I was going to change choreography, I loved to choose my music. Then my friends started asking me for advice on music because they thought i had great taste, they always asked me to take my music to the parties. Back in 2011, I met some DJs and felt more interested about music, on how someone can be in charge of making people dance and have a great time. After that I took a few lessons and here we are.
ー Your new release \”Follow Me\” on Risky is intriguing and energetic. What inspired you to create this track, and what can your fans expect from it?
ー I was looking for some vocals, got a whole collection from a friend, and I liked it. How fascinating they were! So after that I started making beats and the results were amazing! I really love this track and I think it will make you dance anywhere you listen to it.
ー You\’re known for your versatility across many genres. How do you decide which genre to explore in your sets or productions, and what challenges do you face when switching between styles like Tech House and Psy?
ー I like to be dynamic in my sets. I include House music, Electro, Tech House, Future Rave, Techno and Psy. Actually I have a few tracks in Psy House. I haven’t had any trouble or faced any challenge switching from one genre to another, I always make very smooth transitions and I choose my track list before any show.
ー You\’ve graced the stages of major festivals like EDC Mexico and Sunburn India. Can you describe how these experiences have shaped your career?
ー Well, I’ve been several times in EDC Mexico, actually my first time was in 2016 and it was my first festival experience and it helped me a lot to take my project more seriously.
ー During your career you have worked with various artists. What do you value most in collaborations and is there anyone you dream of working with in the future?
ー What I value the most is their time and creativity, I have worked pretty fast in all of my tracks and I had the fortune to work with artists that match with my style and blend perfectly with my ideas. I would love to have a track with ACRAZE. I love his style, it inspires me.
ー Beyond the beats, how do you unwind and recharge? What creative outlets or hobbies do you have?
ー I love to cook, create new recipes and I love exercising. It is therapy for me.
