Hello, Jay! We are happy to see you on the pages of Tune in Mag! How are you? What this spring brings to you ー in personal and professional life? How busy is this period for you?
ー Hi! Thank you very much for having me, it\’s a pleasure. I\’m very happy in this period, both on a personal and professional level. I have some releases scheduled soon and I\’m also already working on new projects, both personal and collaborations with other artists.

You\’ve had a rapid rise in the techno scene since your debut in 2021. What do you attribute this quick success to, and how have your goals evolved since you started?
ー I think and believe that the reason is that the listeners like my music. At first I didn\’t have a lot of motivation, but I kept working and when labels and other artists started really liking my music, my ambitions changed. This is what has led me to set bigger and bigger goals, even now.

Could you share some of your major musical influences and how they have shaped your sound and production style?
ー When I was young I listened to and played Schranz before moving on to Techno, so I think my dark and metallic sounds come from there.

Your latest release, \”Ocean Types\” on We Are Existence, showcases a unique blend of sounds. What inspired the theme of this EP and what inspired you on its creation?
ー The inspiration for \”Ocean Types\” initially came from the vocals that are the underlying theme of the EP, which accompany my typical deep bass lines and melancholic melodies.

What does your creative process typically look like when starting a new track or EP? Do you start with a concept, a beat, a melody, or something else entirely?
ー It depends, like I said, “Ocean Types” was born from the idea of vocals, sometimes it\’s a tune I hear or have in my head that inspires me. Sometimes I try to create a  melody over and over again while sitting at the computer until I find a rhythm that convinces me. I don\’t even always follow that sequence if the method of operation is always the same.

What are some key pieces of equipment or software that you rely on in your productions?
ー I produce with Ableton supported by some plugins such as Serum, FabFilter and others, while as equipment I use a launchpad and a midi keyboard, both Akai, and a Roland TR8 drum machine.

Are there any artists or producers with whom you\’d love to collaborate? What do you think they would bring to your creative process?
ー Lately I have been attracted and inspired by the sounds of artists like Space 92 and Mha Iri. It would be a dream to collaborate with artists of this caliber, being able to see up close and learn how they produce music.

Beyond music, are there other creative outlets or hobbies that you\’re passionate about?
ー In addition to music, I have a hobby of going to the gym which helps me keep my body and mind healthy and release accumulated tension.

We offer you a short blitz survey:) Share with our readers your favorite:
ー city/country/place: Italy;
ー track that always inspires you: “Rave”, Sam Paganini;
ー book: Harry Potter;
ーdish: Pizza.

What about future plans? Can you give us any hints about upcoming projects or directions you\’re excited to explore in your future releases?
ー Regarding the plans for the near future, I can tell you about the next releases. One will be on Reload Records in collaboration with another artist. Then another one will be released on the IAMT Music Group label. I also have a few more releases that are already playing in the clubs, so I hope everything goes well.
