Congratulations on the release of your new EP \”Thinner\”! Can you tell us about the inspiration and creative process behind this project?
Thank you very much and thank you for having me. I produced both tracks, \”Thinner\” and \”Hybrid,\” in my studio in Rome. I had just returned from Thailand, and usually, when I come back home after several months abroad, I\’m always a bit confused. I\’ve gotten used to it by now but there\’s still some disorientation. I believe my tracks are always a reflection of my state of mind, and this time is no exception. These tracks are a bit chaotic, a bit lively, and I think I found inspiration precisely from my state of mind during those days.
With a discography that includes over one hundred records in less than five years, how do you maintain such a prolific output while ensuring the quality of your work remains high?
Thank you for saying so. To tell you the truth, I\’m just doing what I love, here. It all comes very naturally to me.
You\’ve received support from world-class DJs like Adriatique, Dubfire, and Above & Beyond. How does it feel to have your work recognized by such prominent figures in the industry?
I\’m very pleased when people enjoy my music and they receive some value from what I do. Any support comes special, and when the support comes from artists I admire maybe it\’s just a little bit more special.
Melodic techno is a genre you\’ve been deeply involved with since its early beginnings. How have you seen the genre evolve over the years, and what role do you think you\’ve played in its development?
We were producing Melodic Techno before “Melodic Techno” was even a thing. back then (before 2018) it was still just “Techno”. Today, I still appreciate all the artists who keep producing the more underground side of this genre, while I dont really enjoy the new mainstream-edm spotify-friendly variation. I\’m glad to have inspired a fair number of people over the years who started producing this genre by listening to my songs, and I hope to keep inspiring more and more people.
Your DJ sets are known for their unpredictability and range across genres like Progressive House, Industrial, and Breakbeat Techno. How do you prepare for a set, and what influences your track selection on any given night?
I\’m usually not one of those DJs who prepare their set. It\’s boring and it will never match the feeling of the dancefloor at that particular moment. I have my folders full of music, and I don\’t even know what\’s going to happen during the night.
Performing in cities like Rome, Berlin, Bangkok, and Phuket must have given you diverse experiences with different audiences. How do you adapt your sets to fit the vibe of each city and its crowd?
Every place is very different and every night is different but my approach is always the same: reading the room and always offering the best selection you can.

As the label boss of BrokenHearted, what do you look for in the artists and music you sign? How do you balance managing a label with your own music production and DJing?
I\’m always looking for artists with a personality, somebody who wants to be himself and not to be a copy of his favorite dj, which is not easy these days in this genre because I feel everyone wants to sound and to look the same. About managing different things I\’m used to it, I always did it in my life. It is actually good for me to do different things and not only one. I am a one man show and having control over everything is tough sometimes but it\’s the only way I know.
Looking back over your twenty-year music career, what are some of the most memorable moments or milestones that have significantly shaped your journey as Eleven Of July?
Whenever I play for a big crowd and I can experience people enjoying my own music is surely something unique and it kind of “closes the circle”. It just shows me that maybe I\’ve gotten somewhere with my journey and probably it is one of the best motivations to keep going.
