This track garnered support from legendary figures such as Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, and John Summit, establishing Crusy as a force to be reckoned with. Crusy\’s ascent continued as he collaborated with some of the genre\’s most respected names, including Mark Knight, Low Steppa, and Dombresky, with their joint track \”El Beso\” reaching the top 10 on Beatport.
In just over a decade since he began, Crusy has evolved from a passionate teenager experimenting with electronic dance music to a key influencer in Spain\’s music scene, now making waves internationally. So, let’s talk!

ー Hello, Mikel! We are happy to see you on the pages of Tune in Mag! How is your beginning of the year? How did you celebrate the holidays?
ー Hi, guys! How are you? Everything\’s going amazing! I stayed with my family to chill a little bit before all the touring that’s coming now.
ー As we know, you started mixing and producing at just 15. How did you grow up and what influenced your desire to become an artist?
ー Yes, that’s correct. I grew up in Bilbao, a city in the north of Spain. I started to go to Techno clubs like Zul & Sonora and watched and listened to some of my favorite artists there. Started to follow labels like Toolroom and Cadenza and felt instantly those fresh and tribal vibes.
ー How do your personal values and beliefs reflect in your music and your approach to the industry?
ー I try to be a simple person, good with the people that surround me and easy to work with. I try to have an organized life, workout every day, eat clean and spend time with my people. That’s what keeps me focused and on the ground.
ー Tell our readers about your latest remix “Lost In Acid” on HoTL Records, by David Tort originally. What inspired you to create this remix? Tell about the creative process and your feelings about this work.
ー David has always been one of my inspirations, I love his dark/clubby sound and that record inspired me a lot when I started back in 2009. I tried to maintain the original vibe while adding my tribal sound to it. So happy to see the result now! The track has been a month now in the Top 100 on Beatport!
ー Three of your tracks in collaboration with other artists were included into the album “Best Of Toolroom 2023”: “BFG” with Low Steppa, “Attracted” with Tony Romera and “KLK” with Joelii, Hugel and Jenn Morel. What do these tracks mean to you? Tell us about your impressions of working with this label.
ー Working with Toolroom is something! It’s not just a label, it is a company that helps you to develop your profile and music to the next level. Being able to work with them has definitely stepped up my music. In some moments, I think about those collabs, and all of them are with artists that I looked up to and I can call most of them friends now. It\’s amazing what music can lead you to!
ー Who is on your dream collaboration list and why?
ー First I would say Mark Knight, but last year we already had a collaboration with him. But if I had to name other ones, it would definitely be Fatboy Slim and Hot Since 82. They are artists I look up to a lot of times when looking for references in my career.
ー You\’ve quickly become a prominent figure in the Tech House scene. How do you maintain your unique sound while also evolving with the genre? What will you never play? Are there any taboos?
ー I try to make tunes that I am excited to play on the weekend. I understand that my brand is about a bit of tribal vibes, but I try to implement that into different visions.
ー If you could meet and talk to one of the great people who are no longer alive, who would it be and why?
ー I’d love to meet Freddie Mercury, and talk about music for hours. I wish I knew what he was like in the music industry in those days!
